About Course
This accelerated four-week social studies course covers key topics in U.S. history, world history, and civics. Through structured lessons, research projects, and assessments, students will develop critical thinking and analytical skills essential for understanding historical and governmental systems.
Course Structure:
🔹 Week 1: Core Foundations
- U.S. History Overview
- Topics: Key events in U.S. history, founding documents
- Activities: Short-answer assignments, map quizzes
🔹 Week 2: Expanding Knowledge
- World History Highlights
- Topics: Ancient civilizations, major world wars
- Activities: Reading summaries, comprehension tests
🔹 Week 3: Practical Application
- Civics and Government
- Topics: U.S. government structure, civic responsibilities
- Activities: Essay on civic duties, short test
🔹 Week 4: Final Projects and Review
- Civics Project or History Report
- Focus: Students complete a report or presentation on U.S. history, civics, or a global issue
Assessments & Completion Criteria:
