About Course

Civics & Government is a foundational social studies course designed to help students understand the role of citizens, society, and government in building a responsible and democratic community. The course introduces learners to the meaning and importance of civics, including citizens’ rights, duties, responsibilities, ethical conduct, civic participation, voting, and social awareness.

Students will explore how government works as an institution responsible for maintaining law, order, justice, public services, and national organization. The course also explains the key organs of government, including the legislative, executive, and judicial branches, and how each branch supports the proper functioning of a democratic state.

Through guided lessons, examples, activities, MCQs, and fill-in-the-blank exercises, learners will develop a clear understanding of civic responsibility, social issues, national politics, global citizenship, and the relationship between citizens and government. By the end of this course, students will be able to explain core civic concepts, understand their rights and duties, describe the structure of government, and recognize the importance of active participation in society.
