Chemistry
About Course
Chemistry is a foundational science course designed to help students understand the composition, properties, structure, and behavior of matter. The course introduces learners to the fundamental concepts of chemistry, including the role of chemistry in everyday life, major branches of chemistry, scientific methods, measurement, SI units, physical quantities, precision, accuracy, and experimental observation.
Students will explore important chemistry topics such as laboratory apparatus, safe handling of chemicals, data collection, analytical techniques, separation methods, filtration, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and the practical skills needed to conduct experiments responsibly. The course also introduces chemical bonding, helping learners understand how atoms combine, share, gain, or lose electrons to form stable compounds.
Through guided lessons, examples, diagrams, activities, laboratory-based concepts, and knowledge checks, learners will develop strong scientific thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end of this course, students will be able to explain core chemistry principles, use scientific measurements correctly, understand laboratory procedures, interpret experimental results, and describe how chemical concepts apply to real-life situations.
